Opti-MS Corporation is a start-up company that has financing from both government and private sources. We are currently developing a prototype miniature time-of-flight mass spectrometer based on our proprietary technology. The technology is being specifically developed for space and extraterrestrial applications but also has great potential for medical, biotech and homeland security applications.
We currently have an open research and development position. Experience with high vacuum instrumentation, time-of-flight mass spectrometry, ion beam systems, and/or mechanical engineering would be a definite advantage. The position requires a master's degree in physics, engineering or relevant field, or a bachelor's degree with 2 - 3 years of experience.
